Wenger - Milan will provide 'the ultimate test'
Champions League
Arsenal v AC Milan
Arsène Wenger has a solid record against Italian clubs in Europe but he regards the imminent clash with Milan as "the ultimate test".
The Frenchman has lost just three times in 12 matches against Serie A opposition since taking charge of Arsenal and has presided over impressive victories against Inter, Juventus and Roma in recent years.
Wenger's side will also be protecting a proud unbeaten home record which stretches back 19 Champions League games when Milan visit Emirates Stadium on Wednesday night. Nonetheless, the Arsenal manager believes his players must be at their best to register a positive result.
"It's the ultimate test," admitted Wenger. "We're in the position of challengers tomorrow because Milan are the holders of the Champions League.
"They have quality and experience, but we're a team who can challenge them and can beat them. Overall, we want to be at our best to beat them."
"The targets in front of us are massive, but they're in front of us. We're in a very good position. Now it's down to quality."
